Welcome to the Plings blog.
This is the space where we are sharing learning, news, updates and insights from our journey developing Plings, and supporting local authorities to promote information on positive activities to young people through Plings and the Information and Signposting Project (ISP).
Positive activities? Plings?
Local authorities have a duty to provide positive out of school activities for young people in their local area. And they have a duty to let young people know about the ‘local offer’ of activities available to them.
Our goal is to provide tools, platforms and techniques to aggregate information on positive activities into a resource that people can search, filter, use and disseminate. We want young people, parents, carers and those concerned with positive activities for young people to be able to easily and accessibly find this information and act accordingly.
We want Plings to be a platform for innovation around positive activity information, working to support local authorities and others providing activities and activity information in their duty to let young people know what’s on, where and when.
You can subscribe to the blog to keep up to date with progress as we share update and learning from the core team and from our project partners. And you can get involved by leaving a comment or dropping us a line to blog [at] plings.net to share your ideas or suggest blog posts.
