Cycling

Cycling is about the freedom of choice and just as there are lots of different ways to ride, there are lots of ways to get started as well.

Picking up the skills of bike riding at an early age will ensure a lifelong passion for cycling whether you have dreams of being an Olympic or Paralympic star of the future, want to have a fun on your bike with friends or simply want to get fit while doing your bit for the environment.

Either way, there is no better place to start than at a British Cycling Go-Ride Club as they work across all cycle disciplines so it doesn’t matter if your passion is for Mountain Bikes, BMX or Road Racing – there is a club session to suit you!

British Cycling coaches support Go-Ride clubs to offer regular sessions all year round, while specially organised Holiday Programmes are also established for school holidays.

For details on how to find your local club, Go-Ride Racing event or Holiday Programme, go to the British Cycling website

Typical cost: Club sessions are free or come with a minimal cost, while some clubs can provide use of a bike for the sessions as well.
